The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by opening new markets, launching new offerings, and expanding sales channels while building and leading a high-performing sales team. This role requires an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who initially operates in a player–coach capacity, directly contributing to sales while managing and mentoring a small team of Account Executives.

Your Role at Orange Logic:

Player–Coach Sales Leadership

  • Actively participate in selling, including prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiations, and closing key deals
  • Coach Account Executives through deal strategy, objection handling, and closing techniques
  • Set the standard for sales execution, work ethic, and customer engagement

New Market, Offering & Channel Development

  • Lead efforts to penetrate new markets and customer segments
  • Support the launch and sale of new products or offerings in collaboration with Product and Marketing
  • Experiment with and help establish new sales channels and go-to-market motions
  • Provide structured feedback from early market efforts to inform strategy and positioning

Sales Execution & Performance Management

  • Build, manage, and maintain healthy pipeline coverage for self and team
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecast updates, and performance check-ins
  • Track key sales metrics and adjust tactics to improve conversion and efficiency

Strategy Execution & Scaling

  • Execute sales strategies defined in partnership with Sales Leadership
  • Help document and refine repeatable sales processes as the team grows
  • Transition focus over time from individual contribution to team leadership and management

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing to align campaigns, messaging, and lead follow-up
  • Partner with Product and Customer Success to ensure accurate positioning and successful customer onboarding
  • Represent customer and market insights internally to improve offerings and sales effectiveness

Market & Industry Awareness

  • Maintain strong awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs

Ideal Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS sales
  • Prior experience as a player–coach or first-line sales manager preferred
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with experience entering new markets or launching new offerings
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and execution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proficiency with G-Suite or similar productivity tools
  • Experience using cloud-based CRM systems (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred)

Compensation: 

The target compensation for this position is $120,000 - 150,000 in most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
