Head of DevOps

For more than two decades, Orange Logic has empowered a wide range of clients with its digital asset management system, Cortex. We’ve worked with almost every industry, from Finance to NGOs, Media giants to educational institutions; securing and organizing their assets. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the DevOps function, including deployments, migrations and large-scale infrastructure improvements in a cloud native environment.  

What you can expect in your role: 

• Manage a team of four DevOps engineers and growing
• Work closely with the IT executive team to set team planning and proper project roll-out and execution
• Help build & lead the DevOps function, including new hires, current employee development & training, succession planning, and all other supervisory responsibilities. 
• Oversee infrastructure deployments and ensure timely completions
• Manage infrastructure migrations, legacy or otherwise, working closely with stakeholders and provide planning and clear deliverables for all executions
• Define strategy for impactful infrastructure optimization projects, in-line with the larger IT & company objectives
• Develop project roadmaps within our cloud-agnostic and fully IaC environment
• Provide vision and guidance for high-level DevOps issues and enhancements
• Establish documentation, SOPs, policies or otherwise, and help maintain those for standardization, optimization, and efficient knowledge transfer.

You are: 

• 5+ years of experience leading complex projects, with proven performance to achieve their on-time completion
• 3+ years of managerial experience
• Extensive DevOps background, with a proven track record in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Comprehensive experience with all major cloud providers, with a focus on AWS
• Strong knowledge of security principles, networking & compliance. And a security-first mindset.
• Obtained a B.S. degree in Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Great written and verbal communication and presentation skills along with the ability to drive change in the organization as needed
• Excellent problem solving skills

Compensation:

The target compensation for this position is $150,000 - 250,000  in most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above
